CMN NAMES PEDRO BONILLA NATIONAL ACCOUNT SALES EXECUTIVE


Former William Morris Agency Executive to Focus on New Business Initiatives for CMN

Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN) has hired Pedro Bonilla as its new National Account Sales Executive. Bonilla brings a wealth of marketing, sales and business development experience to CMN, and his addition brings a total of 40 full-time employees to the award-winning, multicultural experiential marketing agency. Bonilla will be working out of CMN’s Miami office.

“Pedro is a very skilled and seasoned sales executive and we’re delighted that he’s joined the CMN family,” said CMN Executive Vice President Elena Sotomayor. “Pedro has a passion for marketing entertainment and earned important accolades while at William Morris and the Universal Music Group. We’re looking forward to having him develop new initiatives for CMN and enhancing programs for our clients.”

Bonilla was born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and at the age of 13, he and his family emigrated to the U.S. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Bonilla received a BFA in Visual Communications with an emphasis in Graphic Design and Marketing in 1999.

Bonilla started his entertainment career as the first agent trainee in the Miami office of the William Morris Agency in 2003. During his time at William Morris, Bonilla worked in various departments, including TV, music and branded entertainment. His knowledge of the entertainment industry, marketing background, and biculturalism provided him the opportunity to expand into both the English-language and Spanish-language markets of the business. As a result, Bonilla spearheaded the Latin Celebrity Endorsements Department for the international talent agency.

In April 2010, Bonilla joined the Universal Music Group, where he served as Director of Branded Entertainment Partnerships for the U.S. Hispanic Market. There, he focused on commercial opportunities for the entire Universal Music Latin Entertainment catalogue. These opportunities included celebrity endorsements, tour sponsorships, licensing, digital marketing/ content development and brand integrations.

Bonilla is part of Diageo North America’s Multicultural Advisory Group and a former member of the selection committee for the Hispanic Heritage Awards. He and his family reside in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
