CHAYANNE SET TO PLAY AT THE ALLSTATE ARENA NOV. 24

Tickets to go on sale Friday at 11:00 a.m.

CHICAGO (June 24, 2010) – Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN), Viva Entertainment and Live Nation announced that tickets will go on sale this Friday, June 25th at 11:00 a.m. for the November 24th (9:00 p.m.) concert featuring Latin pop sensation Chayanne at the Allstate Arena. The concert, presented by Corona Extra, is part of the artist’s “No Hay Imposibles” U.S. Tour, which is being produced by CMN and Live Nation.

Tickets for the show, priced at $127.50, $97.50, $82.50, and $67.50, not including applicable service charges, can be purchased at Ticketmaster outlets or by calling 1-800-745-3000 or visiting www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the Allstate Arena Box Office, located at 6920 N. Mannheim Road in Rosemont, IL. For more information, please call 312-492-6424.

After three years away from the spotlight, Chayanne – winner of the 2010 Premio Lo Nuestro “Excellence Award” – returns to the stage in support of his latest recording, “No Hay Imposibles,” and the Puerto Rican native will spend much of the next year on the road. Following on the footsteps of his hugely successful 2007 “Mi Tiempo” Tour, Chayanne’s current tour will include visits to countries such as Mexico, Spain, Chile and Argentina before returning to North America in the fall for an additional nationwide leg, and further dates into 2011.

Chayanne released “No Hay Imposibles,” his 14th studio album, on February 23, 2010. The album, recorded between Miami, Puerto Rico, Los Angeles, Bogotá and Buenos Aires, features the hit single, “Me Enamore De Ti,” which serves as the main theme to the popular Mexican soap opera, Corazón Salvaje. In all, 11 tracks make up Chayanne’s latest musical endeavor, with something for everyone, from melodious ballads to unmistakable uptempos.

“No Hay Imposibles” is already certified gold in Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico and the U.S.

In 2009, the artist returned to a field in which he has also shone, one in which his fans had wanted to see him again: acting. He starred in a TV miniseries, Gabriel and, once he concluded that, he tackled music head on, seeking songs for “No Hay Imposibles”; working with general producer Javier Díaz and with other renowned industry veterans such as Julio Reyes, Sebastián Krys, Pablo Durán and René Toledo; and promoting up-and-coming talents, such as young Venezuelan composer Paolo Tondo, author of “Me Enamore De Ti,” among other songs.

REIGNING RANCHERA KING VICENTE FERNANDEZ TO PLAY AT CHICAGO’S ALLSTATE ARENA OCT. 17

CHICAGO – Live Nation, Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN), Viva Entertainment and Ralph Hauser Promotions announced that tickets are now on sale for the October 17th concert featuring reigning “ranchera” star Vicente Fernandez at the Allstate Arena. Fernandez will share the stage with compatriot Paquita la del Barrio, who will open the show.

Tickets for the show, priced at $250, $135, $89.50, $69.50, and $49.50, not including applicable service charges, can be purchased via Ticketmaster outlets or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000 or visiting www.ticketmaster.com . Tickets can also be purchased at the Allstate Arena Box Office, located at 6920 N. Mannheim Road in Rosemont, IL. For more information, please call 312-492-6424.

Fernandez, who is set to launch his 7-city West Coast summer concert series next month, will resume his 2010 stateside tour in the fall. Aside from the October 17th Chicago show, he will also visit Orlando, Miami, Dallas, and Los Angeles.

At 70, Fernandez is the epitome of a living legend throughout all of Latin America. With a career spanning over 40 years and universally loved hits such as “Volver, Volver,” “La Ley del Monte,” “De Que Manera Te Olvido,” and “Las Llaves De Mi Alma,” among others, Fernandez has received numerous recognitions throughout his career including a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame and multiple Grammy nominations. In 2002 he was named Person of the Year by the Latin Recording Academy, and he has also been inducted to the Billboard Latin Music Hall of Fame.

More than just the undisputed king of Mexico's traditional ranchera music, Vicente Fernández -- "El Idolo de Mexico" (“The Idol of Mexico”) -- is one of that country's most recognizable and influential cultural icons. Since his emergence in the mid-'60s, Fernández's popularity has escalated to the point that his status among Mexicans and Mexican-Americans has been likened to that of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley in the United States. His concerts both in Mexico and the U.S. routinely sell out despite a near-total dearth of non-Latino media coverage, and his 100-plus albums have reportedly sold in excess of 50 million copies.

With his supersized sombreros, prominent black mustache, and eye-popping costumes, and an orchestra overpopulated with horns and strings players in glittery, matching mariachi outfits, the glitzy Fernández on-stage is an imposing, larger-than-life figure. Matching his visual presentation is an operatic voice that plumbs the depths of the emotional spectrum to connect on an intimate level with his audience, which relates to the singer's humble beginnings and everyman song lyrics. In the U.S., he has sold out such large-capacity venues as New York's Madison Square Garden, where he once shared a bill with his son, Alejandro Fernández, himself a major singing star. Vicente Fernández, Jr., one of the star's other sons, is also a well-known singer. (~ Jeff Tamarkin, All Music Guide)
