ALEJANDRO SANZ TOUR PARAÍSO 2010

Alejandro Sanz is immersed in an international tour, which it has already visited over thirty cities of 100 where he will bring Paradise. The concert has brought three common elements no matter where Sanz has played: a sold-out poster hanging outside each concert, a thrilled audience that does not stop singing and dancing throughout the entire show and excellent reviews.

Sanz has made multitudinous concerts, such as the ones offered at Argentina’s Estadio Velez in Buenos Aires, Seville’s Estadio Olimpico, Chile’s Arena Santiago de Chile, six concerts at Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional or Madrid’s Palacio de Los Deportes. A total of 380,000 people have enjoyed Tour Paraiso.

Sanz, accompanied by his band of nine musicians, presents his new work, "Paraiso Express" as well as his career’s great classics, with a spectacular staging that leaves no one indifferent.

PARAISO EXPRESS captures the artist’s essence as a songwriter and performer. “This album leans more towards rock than my previous albums, a more elegant one with more positive lyrics, and a happier spirit and more rhythmic,” says Sanz.
Ten brilliant and poignant songs where Sanz manages to immerse the listener completely in their stormy stories, with the idea of bringing them to their particular havens. PARAISO EXPRESS was produced by Puerto Rican producer Tommy Torres and mixed by world famous engineer Bob Clearmountain, who made some of the best albums by the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen or Paul McCartney, among others. Alejandro seems to have found his true songwriter’s paradise in this record, showing once again, why he is still the most important Spanish musician in decades.
“PARAISO EXPRESS” Facts:
Debuted at #1 in Spain, USA, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Chile in its premiere week.
The album's first single, "Looking for Paradise," released on September 18th, also reached the No. 1 position on iTunes in Spain, Latin America as well as the United States, and it continues to be one of the top ten singles in charts nationwide. The song received a Latin Billboard award in 2010 in the category “Hot Latin Song, Vocal Collaboration.
The second single, “Desde Cuando,” topped radio charts for months.
“Nuestro Amor Será Leyenda”, third single from Paraiso Express released in may has already climbed to the top positions and it continues to be on high rotation in radio stations.

SET DESIGN
Luis Pastor, who has an outstanding career in designing stages for musical acts, created the set design and lighting for the PARAISO TOUR.
For this show, Pastor’s created a dynamic stage with 28 variable speed motors making it to become a live structure adapted to each song. These motors move more than 140 m2 of next-generation LED’s screen, whose transparency makes the scene acquire different optical dimensions. The stage lighting is about 100,000 watts.

SOUND
Fernando Diaz, a sound engineer who has worked with Alejandro on his latest tours, returns to oversee the mixing. Puerto Rican Frank Aponte is the monitor engineer.
