CHICAGO (December 16, 2010) – Juanes, the world’s leading Latin rock star, is set to perform at the intimate Rosemont Theatre on Wednesday, Apr. 6 at 8:00 p.m. CT, announced Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN) and Viva Entertainment. The Colombian singer/songwriter will be stopping in Chicago as part of his “P.A.R.C.E.” tour.

Fans can purchase tickets to the show in time for the holidays by visiting www.ticketmaster.com or calling 1-800-745-3000. For more information, please call 312-492-6424.

Released on Dec. 7, "P.A.R.C.E." – the Colombian artist’s fifth studio album – debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart and is this week’s greatest gainer at No. 9 with the single “Y No Regresas” on Billboard’s Top Latin Songs.

“The entire concept is about friends and friendship," said Juanes, whose real name is Juan Esteban Aristizabal, in a recent Billboard Magazine interview. "Even the cover uses pictures of many of my fans."

In both critical respect and global commercial success, Juanes has become the leading all-Spanish language music artist in the world. Both an electrifying guitarist and gifted songwriter, Juanes is now often mentioned alongside artists such as Bono and Bruce Springsteen for his belief in the possibility of social change through music. Juanes’ musical message of peace confronts conflict while pointing toward love and respect for both those closest to us, and our fellow global citizens as the way to rise above the fray. With multi-platinum worldwide sales of over 12 million albums, a GRAMMY® and a record-setting 17 Latin GRAMMY® awards after only four records, it is evident that millions of fans have adopted the songs of this poetic rocker as virtual anthems for Latino pride, prayers for peace, and the strength of love.

In recognition of his philanthropic work, Juanes was honored by Sir Paul McCartney at the 2005 Adopt-a-Minefield Gala and was also awarded the designation of Knight of The Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government. He has been recognized with Billboard’s “Spirit of Hope” Award, named the 2008 “Humanitarian of the Year” by the Organization of American States and recently awarded Colombia’s prestigious National Peace Prize. He also performed on telethons to aid relief efforts for victims of the earthquakes in both Haiti and Chile.
