CMN to help launch new cultural art exhibition for Colombia is Passion

Next month, CMN will help launch and execute logistics for a new, 47 piece cultural art exhibition themed, “Discover Colombia Through Its Heart,” for Colombia’s official country image campaign, Colombia is Passion. The international exhibit will be showcased next month in Washington D.C. and New York City.

The exhibit will feature seven interactive, 13-foot heart sculptures, which will be displayed in Union Station from Sept. 5-15 in the nation’s capital and in New York’s Grand Central Terminal from Sept. 22-28. Each of the seven displays will spotlight a different facet of Colombia – from its culture, music and talented artists to the nation’s beautiful landscape, cities, flora and fauna.

The exhibit also includes 40 eight-foot heart sculptures, which will appear along the streets of each city, outside public schools and parks and other high-traffic locations. Each one of the smaller hearts is artistically painted to highlight an unknown aspect of Colombia.

“The point of this interactive exhibit is to educate and show the world the true Colombia,” said Maria Claudia Lacouture, General Manager of Colombia is Passion. “We want to change the way the world thinks of Colombia through this exhibit.”

The Colombia is Passion campaign was developed to promote the country abroad and encourage business investment, tourism and enhanced cultural relations with other nations. The logo of the campaign is a heart, which symbolizes the passion of the Colombian people – the driving force that guides their creativity, determination, warmth and kindness.
