Miller Lite’s “Solo Con Invitacion” to feature Luis Enrique Oct. 21 at Chicago's Alhambra Palace

Luis Enrique, also known as the “Prince of the Salsa”, is set to perform at Miller Lite’s “Solo Con Invitacion” (“By Invitation Only”) concert in Chicago. The private show will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at the trendy club and restaurant, Alhambra Palace, located in Chicago’s West Loop area.

Fans who wish to attend the show can listen to Univision Radio’s Mi Musica 106.7 FM for ways to win tickets, or participate in the Miller Lite promotions being held at different on-premise and off-premise accounts. For more information, please visit the Events page at www.cmnevents.com.

Enrique has earned five Grammy nominations and five Lo Nuestro Awards. His current hit, “Yo No Se Manana”, from his latest recording, “Ciclos,” is listed at No. 3 on Billboard’s Tropical Songs chart and at No. 12 on the Latin Pop Songs chart. Meanwhile, “Ciclos” currently takes the No. 3 spot on the Tropical Albums charts.

Luis Enrique was one of the pioneers of the Latin “salsa sensual” style. The vocalist was born in Nicaragua and has been a musical trendsetter for Latin artist to follow such as Marc Anthony and Victor Manuelle. He developed his talent under the instruction of his father, as well as participation in high school musicals and theatrical productions. While auditioning for a local salsa group in the ‘80s, Enrique impressed the band’s producers so much that they took the potential star in the studio immediately to cut a demo. The demo led to his signing with Sony, as well as his debut CD, “Amor de Media Noche.”
