CMN Launches Innaugural "Latin Billboard Concert Series"

Billboard, Telemundo and CMN to Launch Inaugural “Billboard en Concierto” Latin Music Concert Series, Presented by State Farm
Additional Sponsors Include Corona, Western Union, Ritz, Goya, Time Warner, U.S. Cellular and American Airlines
Miami, New York, L.A., Chicago and Houston Selected as Host Cities

CHICAGO (March 25, 2010) – Billboard, the world’s premier music brand, Telemundo, a leading producer of high-quality content for Hispanics in the U.S. and audiences around the world and Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN), the leading Latin music and entertainment companies from the U.S. and Latin America have announced dates, artists and venues for the inaugural Billboard Latin Music Concert Series, “Billboard en Concierto,” presented by State Farm and produced by CMN. Additional sponsors of the concert series include Corona and Western Union as In Association Sponsors, as well as Ritz, Goya, Time Warner, U.S. Cellular and American Airlines.

“The Billboard Latin Music awards honor the most popular artists in Latin music. Now, we are taking those artists directly to their fans in a series of groundbreaking concerts that bring together the best acts of all genres in a major musical celebration,” says Leila Cobo, Billboard’s executive director of Latin content & Programming.

This five-city concert series featuring performances by 2010 Billboard Latin Music Award finalists including Grammy Award winner Luis Enrique, pop artist Jencarlos Canela, bachata stars Xtreme, and regional Mexican groups El Compa Chuy and Los Dareyes de la Sierra, is set to kick off on April 7 at the Fillmore Miami Beach. The other host cities include Chicago, Houston, New York and Los Angeles.

These exclusive, consumer-driven events will serve as a prelude to the 21st annual Billboard Latin Music Awards presented by State Farm, which will be produced and broadcast live from Puerto Rico by Telemundo on Thursday, April 29 from the Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum.

The artists for “Billboard en Concierto” have achieved great success on the Billboard Latin charts, and are all 2010 Billboard Latin Music Award finalists. Please see calendar below for more information on dates, venues and artists.
