Sanz, winner of 15 Latin Grammy Awards and two Grammy Awards, is currently wrapping up a seven-week tour of Mexico in support of his latest recording, “Paraiso Express.” Sanz will then embark on an extensive tour of his homeland, Spain, next weekend before kicking off his U.S. Tour in July.

Released in November 2009, “Paraiso Express,” marks the Spanish artist’s eighth studio album. Produced by Sanz himself, the album is the follow-up to his Grammy Award winning album, “El Tren de Los Momentos.” The first single, “Looking for Paradise,” features a duo with American singer Alicia Keys and the song reached No. 1 in Billboard’s Hot Latin Tracks. The album also debuted at the top of the charts in Spain and other Latin charts in the U.S. It peaked at No. 1 in Mexico.

A multifaceted artist, Sanz wisely unites modernity and tradition, adding his very particular requirements since the spirit of flamenco acts like a thermometer reading his states of mind, helping him manipulate whimsically –a smile always in the way - the very roots of his solid and prolific musical career. These impressions are reflected in a convincing discography that affirms the Madrid native’s peculiar attitude on-stage, where his voice breaks to meet the sentimental expectations of those who listen.

Sanz, an ardent advocate for human rights, is set to participate in the upcoming concert, “Un Canto Por Haiti,” a star-studded musical event set for Sunday in the Dominican capital of Santo Domingo and benefiting the victims of the earthquake that shook the island in January. The concert, which is being organized by Dominican singer/songwriter Juan Luis Guerra, will also feature performances by Miguel Bose, Juanes, Luis Fonsi, and Dominican natives Johnny Ventura and Milly Quezada. Sanz is also contributing to the relief efforts of the earthquake that shattered parts of Chile last month by recording a special cover of Violeta Parra’s Chilean classic, “Gracias a la Vida,” (“Thanks to Life”), along with fellow artists Laura Pausini, Fher (from Mana), Michael Buble and Bose.
